ADAMI Focus with personalities from the Republic of Moldova

The media in the Eastern Partnership countries of the European Union are directly influenced by social and economic groups, political parties or influential people with their own agendas. Journalism is often reduced to a political tool. The position of minority ethnic groups is often ignored, used to accumulate votes or even to fuel conflicts between social groups and destabilize society. How can politicians and journalists act to find solutions to this problem?

In the second edition of ADAMI Focus online Talks we will talk with Andrian Candu, host of the ADAMI Awards Gala 2018, former President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

Andrian Candu has many years of experience as a deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. He held the position of Minister of Economy, First Deputy Prime Minister, and in the period 2015-2019, he was President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

Carolin Ollivier is the editor-in-chief of the news program at ARTE Journal, where she has been active since 2006. Carolin has extensive experience as a journalist, presenter at ARTE Reportage and correspondent in Brussels.
