Ion Creanga's Bojdeuca from Romania will be rehabilitated

Ion Creanga's Bojdeuca from Ţicău (Romania) will soon enter a rehabilitation process, the costs amounting to approximately one million euros, Moldova 1 reports.

The works are carried out within the “Traveler on cultural meridians” initiative, submitted by the Iaşi County Council within a joint Romania-Republic of Moldova program, financed from European Union funds.

Built in 1842, the house in Ţicău became in April 1918 the first memorial museum in Romania. Now, it needs intervention, because the area in which it is located is affected by the landslide.

As part of the rehabilitation program, surveillance, burglar and fire protection systems will be installed in all rooms. Also, the electrical installation will be restored inside and a lighting system will be installed outside.
