The composer Eugen Doga became an honorary citizen of Iaşi

Good news during the pandemic come to us these days from the cultural capital of Romania, the city of Iasi. The composer-academician Eugen Doga received the title of Honorary Citizen of Iaşi. According to a communiqué of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), the decision to award the honorary title to the famous artist was approved unanimously by the local councilors of Iasi.

In the specialized references to the draft decision, it is mentioned that "Eugen Doga is one of the most appreciated and famous musicians in the Republic of Moldova, enjoying a wide international recognition".

It should be mentioned that, at the end of last year, the famous artist Eugen Doga, became an Honorary Citizen of the city of Bucharest, an honorary title, being awarded as a sign of gratitude for promoting and preserving the Romanian popular tradition.

In the 80th spring of his life, Maestro Doga gave an extraordinary concert in the splendid hall of the National Theater "Vasile Alecsandri" in the capital of historical Moldova, Iasi, the city where he lived the joy of meeting so many people with high and felt souls.
