The comedy "The man who saw death", released at the Balti Theater

A comedy about love, betrayal and power struggle. "The man who saw death" premiered at the "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theater in Balti. The event brought together actors from different generations, who transposed one of the most famous pieces of Romanian playwright Victor Eftimiu, reports Moldova 1.

"The man who saw the death" by Victor Eftimiu has been already mounted on the stage of the national theater "Vasile Alecsandri" in Balti.

"It was mounted in 91-92, but now it's another version, another century. This play "The man who saw death expresses the reality: the theater is the mirror of society," said Balti National Theater director, Slavian Vlad.

Now the show was directed by Constantin Stavrat.

"The play written in 1928 was premiered in Cernăuţi. As I am from Cernăuţi I thought that if it was at the National Theater in Cernăuţi, why should not it be in Moldova," said artistic director Constantin Stavram.

A tragicomedy in which love has no value, a play where nothingness, desire for power, manipulation are very popular.

The comedy message is brought to the scene by the vagabond who wanted to kill himself.

The performance of the actors, the vivid dialogues have long been applauded.

The current repertoire of "Vasile Alecsandri" Theater in Bălţi has 20 performances.
