"In the footsteps of Mihai Eminescu. 100 photos "- the generic of an exhibition opened in Chisinau

"In the footsteps of Mihai Eminescu. 100 photos "- is the generic of the exhibition at the National Museum of Romanian Literature "Mihail Kogălniceanu" in Chişinău, reports Radio Moldova.

The author of the exhibition is the writer and journalist, photographer Vasile Şoimaru, who described the itinerary of the places where the poet-academician Mihai Eminescu stepped.

"These photos I made from the first moment I bought my first camera, 25 years ago. I made four photo albums. The album with Eminescu was supposed to be the fifth, but it seemed to me that it was more important to appear now at the 130th anniversary since his death," Vasile Şoimaru said.

The director of the "Mihai Eminescu" International Academic Center in Chisinau, Elena Dabija, informed that some of these photos were kept in the collections of the center.

At the opening, it was also presented the investigation paper "Argus and his servants. Those who caused Mihai Eminescu to die". The author of the book is Vadim Bacinschi. The volume was edited with the support of the Archives Institute and historian Eugen Statnic from Germany. The author of the book-investigation project is Vasile Şoimaru.
