Users of the "Time to Know" initiative have discovered the magic of knowledge through readings and experiences

They discovered the magic of knowledge through readings and experiments - this is the chance enjoyed by over 17,000 users of the "Time To Know" initiative. The children had the opportunity to broaden their horizons of knowledge thanks to the 1,930 books donated by partners, Moldova 1 reports.

"Who are we who organize this event? We are the ones who know magic. No, it is not about white or black magic, it is about the magic of knowledge for which two ingredients are needed - reading and experiment," said the director of the National Library, Eugenia Bejan.

Librarians have been particularly active and have even acted as humorous actors to demonstrate, for example, the force of gravity in a unique way. The "Time To Know" is also about how the ideas in the books can be applied.

"It is very good that our libraries are becoming more modern and do not only encourage the reading of classical works, the humanities, but have a pragmatic approach to science," said Minister of Education, Culture and Research Igor Sharov.

The 1,331 events organized within the initiative were attended by almost 17,000 inventive users, who want the project to have continuity.

The project began in September last year and continued in 101 libraries in the country, with the support of Moldovan librarians, in partnership with the Progress Foundation in Romania, the National Children's Library "Ion Creanga" in Chisinau and a foundation in Germany.
