Honorary Consulate of Moldova, inaugurated in the city of Alanya
The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova was inaugurated in the city of Alanya, Republic of Turkey.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Minister Oleg Ţulea expressed his conviction that it will effectively represent and promote the interests of the Republic of Moldova in Turkey. At the same time, through its activity, the honorary consular office will contribute to the intensification of commercial-economic, cultural and academic exchanges, as well as will provide the necessary support to Moldovan citizens in difficulty. The consular district includes the districts of Alanya, Manavgat, Gazipaşa, Akseki, Gündoğmuş and İbradı.
For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu welcomed the decision by Chisinau authorities to expand the network of honorary consulates in Turkey, in the spirit of in-depth relations between the Republic of Moldova and Turkey. He also stressed that the establishment of an honorary consular office in Alanya will open new perspectives for the development of joint projects, especially in the field of economic diplomacy.
