Igor Dodon requested the entry of Moldovan citizens in Italy, subject to certain conditions

President Igor Dodon intervenes with the authorities in Rome in order to allow Moldovans to travel to Italy, after this country closed the borders for the citizens of our country, reports Moldova 1.

In a telephone conversation with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, the head of state requested that the entry of Moldovan citizens be allowed provided that the test certificates are presented at COVID-19 and, if necessary, repeated testing immediately after entry into the country.

Igor Dodon also says that, during the dialogue, he noted with regret that the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the previously existing exchanges between our countries.

In 2019, Italy was on the fourth place among the main trading partners of the Republic of Moldova, with a share of 7.8% in total trade.
