Self-isolation regime to be optional

An optional regime could be introduced for 14 days of self-isolation for returning citizens. A decision in this regard is to be taken within the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health which will be convened on Friday, July 24. This was announced by Prime Minister Ion Chicu, after a meeting with the moldovan president, Igor Dodon and the Speaker of the Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii.

"It is possible that we will introduce an optional regime for our citizens returning from abroad. We will communicate the technical details on Friday. I hope we can come up with alternative solutions in this regard ", said Ion Chicu

The state of public health emergency expires on July 31. Currently, the 14-day self-isolation regime upon return to Moldova is mandatory.
