Restrictions on entry into Italy for Moldovans, extended
Italy extends the state of emergency, set at the end of January, until October 15 this year. Also, the travel restrictions previously established until July 31 are extended by ten days, including the restrictions that prohibit the entry into Italy for people who have visited or transited the Republic of Moldova in the last 14 days, Mesager reports.
According to a press release of the Italian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, currently, citizens of the Republic of Moldova can enter Italy only if they have a residence permit on the territory of this country or an EU member state.
In a phone conversation held on July 29, President Igor Dodon requested his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, to allow the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to enter Italy if they present test certificates at COVID-19, and in case of need to repeat the test immediately after entering Italy.
