Registration deadline for Romanian citizens wishing to vote in the presidential elections abroad, extended

The deadline for registration on the www.votinstrainatate.ro platform of Romanian citizens wishing to vote for the presidential elections abroad was extended until September 15, at 24:00. An emergency ordinance in this regard was approved yesterday by the Romanian Government ,Radio Moldova Newsreel reports .

The old term was September 11, but the registrations on the mentioned platform did not correspond with the expectations of the Romanian authorities, so, at the initiative of the Permanent Electoral Authority, the term was extended, and Romanians can register to express their constitutional right to vote.

Through this method, Romanian citizens with the right to vote can opt for two types of participation: either by the presence at a ballot box requested abroad, or by correspondence.
