Positive dynamics in the case of companies that have adapted faster to the online regime

They have adapted their activity to the new digital requirements or even reshaped themselves - we are talking about entrepreneurs who due to the quarantine measures imposed due to the Coronavirus pandemic were forced to change the specifics of their activity. Meanwhile, authorities have taken some supportive measures, reports Moldova 1.

For ten years, Sergiu Ursachi has been running an advertising business. During the pandemic, he could hardly cope with the challenges. In order to stay on the market, it has adapted its activity to the new requirements. He began making visors for nurses and front-line employees. But the income is not even enough to pay the employees' salaries.

In a complicated situation, is also Maria Stepanyants, who manages the Center for Development and Education "Ingenious", founded two years ago with the help of several grant programs. Until the pandemic, the institution was attended by 50 children, especially those passionate about robotics.

"We provided services through social networks and educational platforms only to children with special needs, ie at the request of parents, otherwise all the activity of the center was suspended," said Maria Stepanyants.

At the Business Incubator in Soroca, there are 19 residents, four of whom are just starting out.

"Residents had permanent access to the incubator, we tried to follow all the rules that were imposed. At the same time, we have a very close partnership with the "People in need" project. During this pandemic period, they replaced our revolving fund, which is a loan fund for residents, with 220 thousand lei," said Lialiana Babără, manager at the Business Incubator in Soroca.

Despite the crisis, a World Bank study showed that in some sectors of the economy the dynamics were positive. These are companies that have managed to adapt faster to the online regime and have implemented digital technologies. In order to support the transition of online businesses, the Ministry of Economy has developed a program, through which companies will be able to receive a voucher in the amount of 20,000 lei and a non-reimbursable loan of 200,000 lei. The total cost of the project is 20 million lei.
