Last year, Moldova capitalized export quotas only for grapes and plums

In 2018, Moldova capitalized export quotas only for grapes and plums. According to the preliminary information of the Ministry of Economy, in 2018, Moldova has fully achieved the quotas for EU-free exports to only two of the six basic commodities in the group of fruit, berries and vegetable products.

The Republic of Moldova asked the European partners to increase tariff quotas for the export of fresh fruit from the 2019 harvest: for table grapes up to 25 thousand tons, fresh plums - 20 thousand tons, cherries - 2 thousand tons.

The decision was not taken on time and the export of certain categories of goods from the group of fruit and berries was made outside quotas.
