World Bank provides support to companies affected by the COVID-19 crisis

Moldovan companies will be able to survive, recover and maintain jobs after the COVID-19 crisis with the support of the World Bank, reads a statement of the financial institution.

The bank will provide assistance to the Moldovan government in implementing fiscal facilities, which will help companies and financial institutions survive the initial shock of the crisis. The World Bank's assistance package will be offered following the restructuring of a $ 15 million ongoing project.

Since Moldova joined the World Bank Group in 1992, over US$ 1.3  billion has been allocated to approximately 60 projects in Moldova.

Currently, the World Bank's portfolio includes 12 active projects estimated at over $ 600 million.
