"E-Invoice", mandatory from July 1

The use of the automated information system "e-Invoice" becomes mandatory starting July 1, informs the State Tax Service (SFS). Obligation refers to economic agents participating in public procurement. They will have to issue in electronic format the fiscal invoice issued within the public procurements.

In this context, the SFS will launch an updated version of the automated information system for the creation and circulation of electronic tax invoices "e-Invoice", which includes new features, as follows:

• simplification of the process of integration of the accounting systems of the economic agents with “e-Invoice” through the API application “e-Invoice”;

• developing the functionality of modifying the delivery / issuance date of a set of fiscal invoices;

• establishing the calculation formulas for all the cells of the fiscal invoice, formulas that allow the inverse automated calculation;

• developing the functionality for selecting the number of electronic signatures that need to be applied on the fiscal invoice and the one for the automated identification by the system of the number of applied signatures;

• development of the functionality for downloading the list of fiscal invoices issued by the supplier and the fiscal invoices received by the buyer.

According to a press release issued by the SFS, the implementation of the updated version of the "e-Invoice" system will streamline the existing mechanism for creating, sending and receiving tax invoices generated in this system by simplifying the processes for users of the "e-Invoice" service.

Additionally, between June 1-30, SFS will launch a testing platform for the new version of the "e-Invoice" system. In order to access it, the economic agent is to send a request by classic mail or by e-mail to the address: ctif@ctif.gov.md. The application must contain: the user's number, contact details and IP address from where the new version of the "e-Invoice" system will be accessed.
