The government submitted for approval the package of laws agreed with the IMF, including indexation of pensions for judges. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Ion Chicu, after the traditional Monday meeting of the country's leadership.

"The government submitted the projects voted last week, regarding the package agreed with the IMF. The Government approved the indexation of pensions for judges on general principles the same as for each pensioner. So far, they had a different approach. The interference with the judges was based on the evolution of wages. If Parliament votes this project, the pensions of the judges will be indexed on common principles,” said Ion Chicu.

Also, the prime minister also referred to the European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, given that this week there will be more events on the dimension of foreign policy.

"Starting tomorrow, in the Republic of Moldova, the High Representative from Brussels, Luc Pierre Devigne, will come, to discuss including on the European Integration platform of the Republic of Moldova, where we will review the country's progress in implementing the 2017-2019 action plan. We will also have an event dedicated to the implementation of the Association and Free Trade Agreement with the European Union,” mentioned the prime minister.

Also during today's briefing, the prime minister stressed that after 100 days of the Government's mandate, an assessment of the performance of each minister will be made, and depending on the results of the evaluation it will be examined whether there will be any changes in the Government. Ion Chicu added that on Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers will approve the project proposed by Igor Dodon to "reduce" the stolen billion debt by reallocating the profit of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) to the state budget.
