One-off allowances for another 320 employees of the healthcare system
Another 320 people, employed in public medical institutions, will receive one-off allowance of 16 thousand lei each after contracting COVID-19 infection during the exercise of their duties. A draft decision in this regard was approved today in the Government meeting.
Although initially the Minister of Finance, Serghei Puşcuţa, proposed that 352 people from several public sectors of activity benefit from this allowance, Prime Minister Ion Chicu proposed that for 32 of them the proof that they were infected at the work place be prepared first.
"We have some town halls in Moldova that have blatantly ignored the sanitary-epidemiological rules established by the national commission and now they are all in quarantine and are contaminated. I want to ask if we have to pay 16 thousand lei for the employees of these mayoralties. If at the current stage the proof that they were contaminated in the exercise of the function is not prepared, I propose to approve this project for the allocation of 16 thousand lei for 320 people from the public medical institutions, to see how the others were contaminated ", said the prime minister Ion Chicu.
