Rise in prices to basic necessities will not be allowed
The unreasonable increase in prices for basic necessities will not be allowed under the conditions of the pandemic, said the President Igor Dodon in a meeting with the leaders of the associations of producers in the animal and vegetable sector, reports Mesager.
In this context, farmers were announced that electricity tariffs will be lowered soon, so this factor will not negatively influence price formation.
"It is not a simple year from the point of view of agriculture, considering the possible drought. Therefore, I would like to hear from you some forecasts for the current year, ie about the production process, the volume of production, prices and assistance. Our purpose is not to admit at this stage the unreasonable increase in prices for basic necessities, said the president Igor Dodon.
At the meeting, proposals were launched regarding the maximum stimulation of online commerce, and the president assured that any obstacles in foreign trade will be overcome, including through negotiations with external partners.
