The Ministry of Economy urges entrepreneurs to target their sales in the online environment

The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure calls on small and medium-sized enterprises not to suspend their sales due to the activity restrictions imposed by the Emergency Situation but to redirect them online and on home delivery. At the same time, Sergiu Railean urges IT companies in the country to help domestic producers with e-commerce platforms.

“The closure of markets and non-food stores during this period dramatically affects the trade in goods and services. This fact, however, does not mean that companies do not have solutions to sell their products. The legal basis for e-commerce is functional and over 400 local companies already use it. The IT community in the country has proven to be very competitive and can provide you with the necessary technological solutions. Moreover, over 75% of the population uses the internet, both through fiber optic networks and the mobile internet. More than 98% of the localities have access to fiber optics and high capacity mobile Internet,” says Minister Railean.

The Minister encourages entrepreneurs to identify their technology partners, mobilize their resources and teams, to reach customers through online stores, web pages and electronic communications networks.
