Moldova to receive nine million euros in grants
The European Commission will provide Moldova with a grant worth nine million euros as support to respond to the COVID-19 crisis and as support in implementing the reforms undertaken under the Association Agreement, informs Radio Moldova.
The Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration approved the advisory opinion on the opening of negotiations and the signing of the financing agreement. Five million euros will be allocated to strengthen the capacity of the public health system to respond effectively to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Two million euros will be allocated to strengthen supervisory capacity, corporate governance and risk management in the financial sector.
One million euros will be provided to strengthen the rule of law, justice and security, as well as to strengthen the independence and capacity of local media to produce high quality content.
