"First House": 4,520 Moldovans bought housing through the program

So far, 4,520 Moldovans have purchased housing through the government's First Home Program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.269 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.134 billion lei.

According to the Ministry of Finance, out of 4,520 beneficiaries, 3,159 are families and 1,361 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31.2 years. Also, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 652 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget within the “First House 2” program, 1,737 - “First House 3”, and 366 - “First House 4”.

The average area of housing purchased through the program is 60 square meters. The average value of purchased homes is 595.47 thousand lei.

Out of the total number of purchased homes, 4,231 are located in urban areas, and 289 - in rural areas. 4,169 purchased homes are apartments, and 351 - individual houses.

TRM.MD recalls that the beneficiary of the governmental program "First House" may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation constitutes 5% of the purchase price of the house.
