4,942 homes purchased through the First Home program

So far, 4,942 homes have been purchased through the Government's First Home Program. Another 11 applications have been accepted and guarantee contracts are to be signed. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.49 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.24 billion lei.

The amount of compensations granted from the state budget for the partial coverage of the expenses incurred by the beneficiaries for the payment of the mortgage loan within the State Program "First Home" is 22.66 million lei. Thus, within the First Home 2 program, compensations were granted from the state budget in the total amount of 6.72 million lei, within the First Home 3 program - 14.15 million lei, and within the First Home 4 program - 1.77 million lei.

The average area of housing purchased through the program is 60.18 square meters. The average value of purchased homes is 598.46 thousand lei.

Out of the total number of purchased homes, 4,626 are located in urban areas, and 316 - in rural areas. 4,539 purchased homes are apartments, and 403 - individual houses.

We remind that the beneficiary of the governmental program "First Home" may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 and 50 , who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in Moldova and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation constitutes 5% of the purchase price of the house.
