5,079 homes purchased through the First Home Program

As many as 5,079 homes have been purchased through the Government's First Home Program. Six other applications have been accepted and guarantee contracts are to be signed. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.56 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.28 billion lei. Out of 5,079 beneficiaries, 3,494 are families, and 1,585 are unmarried young people.

The average area of housing purchased through the program is 60.15 square meters. The average value of purchased homes is 598.72 thousand lei.

Out of the total number of purchased homes, 4,755 are located in urban areas, and 324 - in rural areas. 4,664 purchased homes are apartments, and 415 - individual houses.

We remind that the beneficiary of the governmental program "First House" can be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova aged between 18 and 50 who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in Moldova and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation constitutes 5% of the purchase price of the house.
