New registration process in the Information System of Registered Exporters

From January 1, 2020, entrepreneurs who export goods of preferential origin from the Republic of Moldova to Norway and Switzerland can benefit from a simplified procedure for certifying the origin of the goods. Specifically, they have the possibility to confirm the origin of the goods only on the basis of a declaration, applied on a commercial document, reads a press release issued by the Customs Service.

Of this facility they will benefit the economic agents requesting registration in the Information System of Registered Exporters (REX-System).

According to the quoted source, the new procedure has the following advantages: elimination of the deadline of up to three days established for issuing the certificate of origin, excluding the expenses related to its perfection and issuance, but also limiting the direct contact with the human factor.

The Customs Service urges exporters to apply for registration in the REX System, by submitting an application.

At the same time, we announce that, starting with July 1, 2020, when exporting goods from the RM of preferential origin, Switzerland and Norway will no longer grant preferences on the basis of Form A certificates of origin, but only on the basis of registration of exporters in the REX System.
