The draft of the Industrialization Strategy of the country until 2030, finalized

The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure has today organized a working meeting with the representatives of the business environment in the industrial sector, during which the draft Industrialization Strategy of the country was discussed until 2030, which is to be submitted for public approval and consultation in the next period.

Continuing the reforms aimed at developing a sustainable and inclusive economy, the lack of a well structured industrial policy document containing a strategic vision, as well as specific objectives and measurable performance indicators - were the reasons for the development of the Industrialization Strategy of the Republic of Moldova.

The document provides for the updating and interconnection of the sectoral policies, which will contribute to the efficient development of the industrial branches, the increase of the industry share in the formation of the gross domestic product, the increase of the volume of the export of the industrial production, the maximum satisfaction of the internal market with domestic goods, as well as the implementation of the coordination mechanism of the their achievement at national level.

The strategy aims to increase the share of the industry in the formation of the gross domestic product, increase the volume of the export of industrial production, the maximum satisfaction of the internal market with domestic goods, the technologization of the companies, attracting the external and internal investments, the development of the regions, the increase of the share of the employees in the industry field.

The draft Strategy has been discussed several times both within the inter-ministerial working group, for examination and finalization, and on the platform of the Economic Council supervised by the Prime Minister.

TRM.MD mentioned that, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure elaborated the draft of the country's Industrialization Strategy until 2030 with the support of the German International Cooperation Agency.
