EU has invested about one billion euros in Moldova
Development of infrastructure, education, projects in the field of energy efficiency, environment, but also the promotion of gender equality. These are just some of the European Union (EU) programs implemented in Moldova. In the last ten years alone, through these projects, the EU has invested over one billion euros in Moldova. The data were presented by EU Ambassador Peter Michalko in the show "European Dialogues”. According to the European diplomat, the money was distributed in over a thousand development programs in various fields, Mesager reports.
"We continue with concrete steps the programs we have, for example in the field of energy efficiency, regarding schools. In these two months alone, we will make progress towards the realization of 18 larger projects that will change the conditions in schools and other public institutions throughout Moldova by modernizing them. We will continue to support projects related to economic development and market opportunities ", said Peter Michalko, EU Ambassador to Moldova.
During this decade, the EU became an important economic partner in 2018, with 70% of exports and 50% of Moldova's total trade being directed to the European market. Peter Michalko assured that the European Union will continue to support Moldova through investments in social projects.
