The EU will support the Government in implementing the Association Agreement

The European Union will provide support to the Government of the Republic of Moldova in preparing investment projects for the implementation of the Association Agreement. According to a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Finance, the support takes place within the technical assistance project "Support for the Government of the Republic of Moldova in identifying and preparing projects related to the implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement".

"The contract worth 5,932 million euros will be implemented by the consortium formed by DT Global IDEV Europe, S.L. and Four Assist, selected following a tender conducted by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova," reads the communiqué.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the project aims to strengthen the powers of national authorities in project preparation, while ensuring complementarity between the implementation of the Association Agreement and external assistance.

In particular, the project will focus on strengthening the national external assistance coordination system, strengthening the capacity of the national external assistance coordination authority in monitoring ongoing projects and prioritizing new investment projects.

At the same time, the project aims to strengthen the capacities of national institutions in terms of identification, formulation, management, monitoring and evaluation of projects financed from external sources, but also the development and implementation of a list of financially viable investment projects.
