Ukrtransgaz submitted to the government of the Republic of Moldova an offer regarding the delayed construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline

Ukrtransgaz has sent an offer to the government of the Republic of Moldova due to the delayed construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline. The neighboring country proposes to Moldova to import natural gas from the EU without the participation of Gazprom, as well as to create its own gas reserves in the Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities, reports Radio Moldova.

Ukrtransgaz is ready to offer Moldova its underground gas storage to accumulate the necessary gas volumes for uninterrupted gas supply in the winter of 2019/2020.

The Ukrainian side asserts that such an agreement does not create financial obligations for the Moldovan side.
