One of the NBM deputy governors resigned

One of the deputy governors of the National Bank of Moldova, Cristina Harea, resigned three years before the expiration of her term. In the resignation request submitted to the Parliament, "personal reasons" were invoked, Moldova 1 reports.

Thus, the term of office shall end three months after the date of submission of the application or with the approval of a new Deputy Governor.

Cristina Harea was appointed deputy governor in 2016, having over 14 years of experience in the financial-banking and investment field. In July 2020, the mandate of two other deputy governors, Ion Sturzu and Aureliu Cincilei, expires, who are currently being investigated by prosecutors in the bank fraud case.
