Moldovans settled in Canada to vote at a single polling station

Moldovans settled in Canada will vote just at one polling station, the one opened on the territory of the Embassy of Moldova in Ottawa. The government today approved the decision amending the Government's decision on the organization of foreign polling stations, Mesager reports.

Initially, the Chisinau Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested the opening of three voting sections in Canada, namely in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa cities, but recently the Canadian Government has reported that Canadian law does not allow the opening of third-country voting stations outside diplomatic missions.

For the parliamentary elections from February 24th, the government decided to open 125 polling stations abroad, by 25 sections more than for the 2016 presidential election.
