Deadline to make public opinion polls on electoral issues

The Central Electoral Commission warns that today, October 27, is the deadline when the results of opinion polls on electoral issues for the November 1 presidential election can be made public.

According to the electoral provisions, the results of the polls can be published no later than five days before the election day. During the election period, opinion polls on voters' political preferences may be conducted only with prior notice to the commission.

At the same time, on election day, until the closing of polling stations, it is forbidden to publish in the media material, including interviews with voters, about the number of votes gathered by electoral contestants during the day and their chances, including results of exit-polls.

The information for conducting opinion polls can be consulted at the rubric "Presidential elections of 1 November 2020" / "Monitoring the elections and their coverage in the media" or by accessing https://bit.ly/33hknzd directly.
