The representative of Moldova, Anna Odobescu, will be playing tonight on the Eurovision stage
The representative of the Republic of Moldova, Anna Odobescu, will be playing this evening at the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Anna Odobescu will evolve with number 3 and will compete with 17 other participants for a place in the big final, including: Romania, Sweden, Lithuania, Russia, Armenia.
Anna Odobescu will sing the song "Stay". The video was made by director Oleg Butnaru, and the filming lasted only 24 hours. The music and lyrics for that piece are written by a team of professionals from abroad. Anna Odobescu, along with actor Constantine Ipate, played the role of lovers. The interpreter said it was difficult for both her and the creative team to film and mount a video in such a short time but she is happy with the result.
The show promises to be extraordinary. This is what Anne Odobescu's performer and family friend, Sergiu Turcanu, talked about.
"I followed the first semifinal and I was struck. Such a show, I have seen for the first time in my life. We look forward to seeing what Anna Odobescu will do as well. Being friends with Anna Odobescu and her husband, I know what they've been through, it's not that easy, it's very difficult, that's the financial side. Obviously the big gain is, first of all, the name, you represent the country," said Sergiu Turcanu.
26 participants will play at the Eurovision Song Contest. In addition to the semi-finals, the Grand Final is attended by representatives of the five founding countries of the competition, as well as the host country: Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Israel.
IPNA "Teleradio-Moldova" (TRM) is for the 15th consecutive year the national organizer of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2018, the Republic of Moldova was represented by the DoReDos band. All information about the Eurovision 2019 national selection can be found HERE.
