Anniversary with tragic ending in Poland

Anniversary with tragic ending in Poland. Five 15-year-olds have died after house they were in burned. Adolescents were celebrating the birthday of one of them and played Escape Room, a popular game among young people around the world. Due to the fire, a 25-year old man suffered serious burns and was hospitalized for intensive care, TV Moldova 1 reports.

The fire broke out in a house known as the Escape Room location in the city of Kozalin, in northern Poland. The causes of the fire are still unknown. Victims could not get out of the building and suffocated.

"From the first information, the fire broke out because of a gas cylinder, but we do not know exactly if it was an explosion or give you details about the fire," police spokeswoman Monika Kosiec said.

Now the authorities carry out security checks in all the buildings hosting "escape room" games in Poland.

"All such clubs will be subject to expert control. We will check if there are emergency exits to allow people to leave these rooms immediately," said Tomasz Kubiak, head of the Koszalin fire department.

The President of Poland expressed his condolences in a message on Twitter, while Mayor of Koszalin declared mourning for Sunday. Escape room games require participants to be locked in a room or building and solve a series of riddles and puzzles that give them clues to leave the room.
