The Dennis storm is causing havoc in western Europe

Western Europe is hit by a new storm. After it stroke Iceland with the force of a hurricane, the weather blows up in the UK and Ireland, where at least three people have lost their lives, reports Moldova 1.

Several regions of the United Kingdom are experiencing heavy flooding. The roads were closed, the railways covered by water and hundreds of air flights - canceled. Because of the heavy rains, many people were trapped in houses.

The wind with the comparable force of a hurricane raised huge waves, however, there were also those who ventured to bathe in the sea.

The storm hit more regions in Belgium, Sweden and France where 45,000 homes were left without electricity. Heavy rains and strong winds swept entire cities along the coast. In Iceland, the gusts reached 256 kilometers per hour and nothing could hold them. Several buildings were left without roof, while traffic and school courses were suspended.
