The new type of coronavirus continues to wreak havoc worldwide

The new type of coronavirus continues to wreak havoc worldwide. More and more countries are imposing new restrictions or speeding up the immunization process in order to cope with the large number of infections. In Beijing, China, more than 1.7 million people have already received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Due to the protection measures imposed by the Austrian government, thousands of people took to the streets to protest. In the meantime, Greece has begun the vaccination process, and this has led to a relaxation of restrictions, Moldova 1 reports.

In Beijing, China, more than 1.7 million people have already been immunized. In the region, 220 special places have been arranged to be able to administer the vaccine to people. The first to be vaccinated were medical workers, customs officers, people working in public transport, but also in the markets.

"We strictly follow the rules, respectively we have several areas arranged so that people do not come into contact with each other. In order to avoid close contact, people enter through one door and exit through another, only in this way we will keep all the rules and we will not expose ourselves to the risk of getting sick," mentioned Zhang Jingbo, director of the Beijing examination center.

Meanwhile, thousands of people took part in a protest march in Vienna on Saturday against restrictions imposed by the Austrian government in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. Austria, a country with 8.9 million inhabitants, is in the third period of lockdown, in which only essential stores are open. The country has so far reported nearly 390,000 cases of coronavirus infection and nearly 7,000 deaths from Covid-19.

In France, the police monitor and do not allow people to be on the street between 18:00 and 06:00 in the morning. The French prime minister says the measure was taken because the average infection rate across the country is now 50 cases per 100,000 population. Any public place will be closed starting at 18:00, and the people who are caught on the street will have to justify their movement.

From January 18, Greece will begin easing restrictions on limiting the spread of Covid-19, allowing tourist regions with low infection rates to receive customers again. At the same time, starting January 25, the churches will be allowed to reopen. On the other hand, Italy is tightening its rules to fight the pandemic due to the increase in the number of cases of infection, with three new red zones being designated as of Sunday. In the new red zones - Lombardy, Sicily and the autonomous province of Bolzano - the population was forced not to leave their homes if possible, except for going to work, shopping for food or for other urgent reasons.
