The number of Ukrainians infected with the new coronavirus reached 1,096

The number of Ukrainians infected with the new coronavirus reached 1,096, and 28 deaths, while 23 patients were cured. Most cases of COVID-19 were registered in the Cernăuţi and Kiev region, Radio Moldova reports.

In this context, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Şmigal announced that the Kiev government has tightened quarantine measures against the coronavirus pandemic, so that from April 6, citizens will be forced to wear protective masks in public spaces and have on them an identity document.

Also, the prime minister announced that only 21 border crossing points remain open on the state border of Ukraine, and persons entering the country will be compulsorily monitored for 14 days.
