Over 40 people in the European Parliament infected with the new Coronavirus
More than 40 people in the European Parliament are infected with the new Coronavirus. The Strasbourg plenary is no longer physically held and voting takes place online, informs Moldova 1.
Infection rates in Belgium and France, home to the European Parliament's two main headquarters, are rising. As a result, the rules governing access to European Parliament seats are strict: only staff and MEPs attending important sittings, such as negotiations with the European Commission and the EU Council, will have allowed access.
European Parliament President David Sassoli wants 80% of the institution's employees to go into telework.
