More than 5.6 million people infected with the new Coronavirus worldwide

More than 5.6 million people have been infected with the new Coronavirus worldwide. At least 355,000 people have died, and almost half of the deaths have occurred in Europe. But the situation is improving on the old continent. The numbers are declining and states are taking steps to relax at an accelerated pace. Latin America is the new epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic, Moldova 1 reports.

Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic have opened their common borders and resumed cross-border traffic. Citizens of the three countries can cross borders for travel of up to 48 hours without having to be quarantined.

Poland is entering a new phase of easing measures on May 30. Wearing masks outdoors will no longer be mandatory, restaurants no longer have a customer limit, gatherings of 150 people will be allowed. On the weekend, the football championship resumes. At the beginning, up to a thousand fans will be allowed to enter.

Spain is in national mourning and will commemorate its victims of Coronavirus for ten days.

In Luxembourg, the authorities have launched a national testing campaign for COVID-19. Residents are invited to come to one of the 17 test centers in the duchy.

Cyprus promises to pay for the medical expenses of visitors to COVID-19 on the island, in the hope that this news will attract tourists out of isolation.

In Italy, however, protests were made against protection measures. At the headquarters of the Lombardy Region in Milan, people got into a fight with the police. In addition to managing the emergency imposed by Coronavirus in Lombardy, protesters called for explanations on safety at work and mass testing of the population. Protests also took place in Rome, in front of the Parliament building.

In Berlin also, there was a protest of travel agents who organize bus trips.

In the United States, more Americans have lost their lives by COVID-19 than in four wars involving the US military. The death toll has been exceeded. And yet, President Donald Trump is convinced that the administration has done very well in the crisis.

Russia plans to relax its containment measures from June 1. In Moscow, non-food stores will reopen, and residents of the capital will be able to move around the city without restrictions, based on a schedule. In the last 24 hours, Russia has reported more than eight thousand diseases, and 170 people have died.

Latin America is the new epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic. In Peru, Ecuador, but especially in Mexico and Brazil, the numbers are rising dizzyingly and there are more than 1,000 deaths a day.
