Romania: 48 deaths caused by COVID-19, recorded in one day

In the last 24 hours there were recorded 1,232 new cases of COVID-19, out of 20,581 tests performed. As a result of coronavirus infections, 48 patients died in the last 24 hours, most deaths in a single day, since the beginning of the pandemic. Also, 436 patients are admitted to Intensive Care, writes digi24.

To date, on August 4, in Romania, 55,241 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) have been confirmed.

28,006 patients were declared cured and 5,136 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,232 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

To date, 2,480 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
