Romania: The highest number of infections and deaths reported in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 1,454 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported, a new negative record. 22,649 tests were performed. Also, 53 people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, writes digi24.ro.

To date, 66,631 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID - 19) were confirmed on August 13 in Romania.

31,547 patients were declared cured and 7,253 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,454 new cases of people infected with COVID - 19 were registered, these are cases that had not previously had a positive test.

To date, 2,860 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection died.

Between 12.08.2020 (10:00) - 13.08.2020 (10:00) there were 53 deaths (32 men and 21 women).

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 3 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 13 deaths in the age category 60-69 years , 24 deaths in the age group 70-79 years and 11 deaths in the age category over 80 .

49 of the recorded deaths were of patients who had comorbidities, and four patients who died did not have comorbidities.
