There have been "many victims, including foreigners," the Economy Minister Harsha de Silva wrote on Twitter.

Sri Lankan churches and luxury hotels have killed 156 people and wounded more than 400, according to several medical officials and police officers, according to Reuters.

De Silva said two of the explosions took place at the Kochchikade church and the Shangri-la Hotel in Kingsbury, Colombo.

"Horrible scenes, we have seen bodies scattered all over," De Silva said after a visit to the scene.
