ACUM invites the PSRM faction to the Special Session of Parliament

The Political Bloc ACUM invited the PSRM faction to the Special Session of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova for today, 21 May, at 2 pm, reads a press release issued by the political faction.

The invitation is intended to elect the leadership of Parliament and vote for anti-oligarchic legislative initiatives. That, even if the Socialist Deputies had previously said that a plenary session would be summoned if the parliamentary majority was formed.

"Again, we learn from the press that the ACUM bloc demands that a special Parliament session be convened on 21-22 May, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Unfortunately, we have to ascertain that in Moldova politics turns into a public show, based on something unpredictable, alogic and far from respecting the legislative framework. We do not want to do the "patriots’ game" which today say one, and tomorrow another. Our position remains the same, it was publicly exposed after the PSRM Republican Council meeting," PSRM Executive Secretary Vlad Bătrincea wrote on May 19th on his Facebook page.

TRM.MD recalls that the sitting of the parliamentary constitution of the 10th legislature took place on March 21, but it was interrupted after the deputies failed to form the parliamentary majority and to elect the governing bodies of the legislature.
