Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova, recalled from office

Ukraine's acting president, Petro Poroshenko, has dismissed Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Ivan Gnatyshyn on Thursday, according to a decree signed by the acting president in Kiev, reports Moldpres.

"Ivan Gnatyshyn to be dismissed from the position of Ukraine's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Republic of Moldova", reads the text of the decree, published on the official website of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine.

Gnatyshyn served as ambassador from 1996 to 2001, and subsequently was re-appointed in July 2015.
