Andrian Candu: PDM faction must support the simple motion against Foreign Minister

PDM deputy Andrian Candu announced that Democrats should support the simple motion tabled by the ACUM bloc against the acting Foreign Minister. The opinion was posted on his Facebook page.

"I think that the PDM faction must support the simple motion against the Foreign Minister, Aureliu Ciocoi, who had to deal with foreign policy, but not with the interpretation of history. It is the case that he resigns, until it becomes debated in the Parliament plenary," wrote Andrian Candu.

Earlier, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said in this context that he did not see a reason for the minister to be dismissed.

"Mr. Ciocoi came up with an explanation. He referred to the peacekeeping mission. That's what he meant. Point," said the prime minister.

TRM.MD recalls that Aureliu Ciocoi was harshly criticized for saying that Russia had stopped the bloodshed on the Dniester and that the People's Front would be guilty of the outbreak of war.

It should be mentioned that at the plenary sitting of the Parliament on February 13, the ACUM bloc, the DA Platform submitted a simple motion against the policies carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. At the same time, the PPDA requested the hearing of the minister Aureliu Ciocoi.

According to Parliament's Rules of Procedure, the debate on the simple motion takes place on the date set by the Permanent Bureau, within 14 working days from the submission date.
