Chisinau authorities insist on dismantling all illegal stations installed by Tiraspol

The Chisinau authorities will continue to insist on the dismantling of all illegal checkpoints installed by the separatist regime in Tiraspol since the beginning of the state of emergency. According to Alexandru Jizdan, chairman of the National Security, Defense and Public Order Commission, who today convened a large-scale meeting on the Transnistrian issue so far on law enforcement, about 400 complaints have been received from residents on both sides of Nistru river. in which they signal the impediment of free movement, reports Moldova 1.

"Under the aegis of the pandemic, the so-called Transnistrian authorities have installed these stations, and we will do our best to get them out of this area. The Ministry of Interior reported that there were about 400 addresses from the population that are restricted by free movement," said Alexandru Jizdan.

After the meeting, the deputies of the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) stated that the situation in the security zone remains precarious and requests that the next such meetings be held in Cocieri locality, Dubasari district, in order to involve in the discussion the citizens affected by the installation of control posts.

"The situation in the Security Zone remains a very worrying one. Unfortunately, the Transnistrian authorities are making good progress in their demands. Compared to what is happening in the Security Zone and in relation to the Transnistrian region, the state institutions must have a clear position, manifested strongly," declared the DA deputy Chiril Moţpan.

On the other hand, the chairman of the National Security Commission, Alexandru Jizdan, says that any provocative actions of the so-called authorities on the left bank of the Dniester could be punished according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova.

"Proposals came from the Reintegration Bureau to amend the legislation and I am now referring to the Criminal Code, to amend the legislation so that we can still condemn and punish some actions of the separatist forces on the left bank of the Dniester," said Alexandru Jizdan.

Meanwhile, the opposition is outraged by yesterday's meeting between the head of state and the alleged leader in Tiraspol and says it will file a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office after Igor Dodon called Vadim Krasnoselski "president of Transnistria."

"It is inadmissible for an alleged leader of the Transnistrian region to be appointed or treated on an equal footing by the President of the Republic of Moldova. It is the duty of Dodon and his lawyers to find a defense against this," said the leader of the DA Platform, Andrei Năstase.

Contacted by Moldova 1, the head of the Presidential Press Service, Carmena Sterpu, said that the expressions used by the head of state during the meeting with Vadim Krasnoselski belong to an exclusively protocol context and do not extend to the de facto political situation regarding the status of the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova.

"The expressions used belong to an exclusively protocol context and do not extend to the de facto political situation regarding the status of the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. The most important thing now is to negotiate as calculated as possible and to ensure a more substantial relaxation of the relations between the banks of the Dniester for the acceleration of the territorial reunification processes of the country," reads the communiqué of the Presidency.

In this context, the deputy of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) Oazu Nantoi claims that the president Igor Dodon would undertake actions that would cause interethnic tensions in the society.

"It aims to achieve the Kozak 2 scenario, which is a ramification of the project initiated by Putin called Yalta 2, ie the transformation of the Republic of Moldova into a political guinea pig, which will later be imposed on Ukraine in the case of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," said Oazu Nantoi.

On the other hand, the Presidency denies the allegations and says that the head of state is doing everything possible to maintain peace and social and interethnic understanding in the Republic of Moldova.

"Compared to the 1990s, when the interethnic conflicts were caused by the irresponsibility of the politicians of that time, today in the country there is conciliation and constitutional order", states the institution in a reaction offered to our television station.

On Tuesday, the head of state, Igor Dodon, had a large-scale meeting with the alleged leader of Tiraspol, Vadim Krasnoselski. During the meeting, Krasnoselskii said that five more checkpoints had recently been dismantled, and the president said he would insist on removing all these posts to ensure free movement between the two banks of the Dniester. During the discussions, the two also approached the subject of resuming negotiations in the 5 + 2 format, but also that of a possible trolleybus line that would connect Bender to Varniţa.
