Moldova-US will strengthen collaboration

President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with a delegation of the U.S. Department of State. The officials discussed aspects of the bilateral cooperation in more sectors of mutual interest, including the consolidation of the rule of law state and good governance, reforms’ implementation, etc. Igor Dodon reiterated that the strategic dialogue established between the two countries provided the needed framework for the further strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between Moldova and the US. He welcomed the activity of the working groups set up within the strategic dialogue.

"We consider that the US is a strategic partner that has helped us implement various reforms during 28 years of independence, we have a very consistent bilateral agenda and I want to assure you on behalf of the presidential institution and of the government that we will do our best to further develop this strategic partnership, "said the moldovan president Igor Dodon.

"For both sides, but also for us, it is important to be here and to see the progress attained by Moldova and the deep relations in strengthening justice and the rule of law. At the meeting, we discussed the strategic dialogue between the two countries", said Jorgan K. Andrews Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affair.
