Igor Dodon signs decree to appoint new head of State Protection, Guard Service

Iaroslav Martin was appointed as head of the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS).The decree on his appointment was signed today by President Igor Dodon.

The State Protection, Guard Service is under the subordination of the President of the Republic of Moldova, by the recent decision of the Parliament.

„ Iaroslav Martin has over 20 years experience in law enforcement bodies, and holds the rank of Colonel. I am confident that the State Protection and Guard Service will become a modern, professional institution, and the compliance with the legislation will be the basis for activity. I thanked SPPS officers for their professionalism, courage and dedication in securing the highest level of protection for officials in the country and foreigners”, wrote the president on Facebook page.  

Dodon assured the head and staff of SPPS that he will provide all necessary support for successful implementation of specific tasks and ensuring a high level of security measures.
