Moldovan president about the CCM’s decision to suspend the law adopted through taking responsibility by Government

President Igor Dodon calls the decision of the Constitutional Court "strange", which suspends the law by which the Government assumed responsibility to the Parliament on certain crisis measures. In his section "President Replies", Dodon said that he called the President of the Constitutional Court, Vladimir Turcanu, to ask for explanations, Radio Moldova reports.

"I called Mr. Turcanu yesterday to understand what happened. Four members voted for, and Mr. Turcanu was against and he has a separate opinion. For me and the Government, this decision was very strange. A cynical approach from the opposition. People are less interested in who is guilty, we all know who wrote the request to the CC. There are three solutions, and the first is that the opposition withdraws its request "said Igor Dodon.

The second solution is for the CC to decide that the law remains in force, and the third solution is for the Government to come up with a new bill in Parliament.

We remind that the magistrates of the Constitutional Court suspended the law by which the Government assumed its responsibility regarding several legislative changes in the context of the fight COVID-19.
