Igor Dodon: There is no majority coalition in Parliament

There is currently no coalition in parliament, incumbent President Igor Dodon said on Friday's live show. Dodon said the PSRM would discuss the possible set up of short and medium term coalitions after the New Year. Igor Dodon also reiterated that he will not accept defectors in the PSRM faction, Mesager reports.

"I mentioned this in February 2019 after the parliamentary elections, that the PSRM faction can only grow naturally, we will not accept deputies from other factions. I think this is fair and honest to our citizens", said Igor Dodon.

The incumbent president also said that the ideal option in Parliament would be a coalition between the political left and right, created between two parties with increased legitimacy in Moldova, PSRM and PAS.

"These are two forces with increased legitimacy. It would be good to have a dialogue and we have proposed this since July, August. They refused this stage. We'll see what happens next", said Dodon.

Igor Dodon reiterated that if coalitions are set in Parliament, these will be formed only around and with the participation of PSRM.
