Igor Dodon: It is a firm commitment to implement the Association Agreement

It assumes the justice reform, the fight against corruption and the consolidation of the state institutions. The priorities of the current government were also discussed at the meeting of President Igor Dodon with the head of the General Directorate for Neighborhood and Negotiation on Enlargement within the European Commission, Christian Danielsson,Mesager reports .

Igor Dodon thanked the European partners for their support and assured the European official that the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement remains a priority for the country's leadership.

"I am glad that these days I have also signed an agreement that lays the groundwork for cooperation between the parliamentary majority and the Government. There it is stipulated very clearly by the reforms that we commit and to promote them during the next months. It is a firm commitment to implement the Association Agreement, ”said Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Moldova.

In his turn, the European official welcomed the commitments made by the current government and said that the EU will continue to support our country.

"We have had discussions with representatives of the Government. We discussed the ambitious projects that the Executive and the coalition are undertaking, and of course first of all, we discussed the justice reform and the law on the Prosecutor's reform that was adopted yesterday. We also discussed issues concerning decentralization and local autonomy, ”said Christian Danielsson, head of the Neighborhood and Negotiations Directorate.

The European official participated today in public discussions on the future of the Eastern Partnership, and yesterday had a meeting with Prime Minister Maia Sandu.
